Designer Georgine Ratelband said she wants her collection for Spring/Summer 2017 to have the fun feel of a “Daughter raiding Mom’s closet.” To interpret that vibe she created a line of beautifully crafted funky dresses, separates and coats that float like liquid gold over female body. The fabrics are mixed in the most unexpected ways – fur for summer and brocade with fishnet.  Her styles are iconic; they will never go out of style because they never were “the style” of the moment. These are one-of-a-kind pieces to be cherished and worn forever.

Georgine is originally from Russia and she has a Russian love of fur.  But Georgine’s fur designs are the furthest thing from Brighton Beach.  Her furs are died to match the fabrics and cut and created into futuristic designs never before seen on the runway.

I saw Ms. Ratelband’s first fashion show in 2014 and walked out knowing that I had just witnessed the launch of a super nova.
