Program #1: GENIUS OF ENGLAND - Henry Purcell & Contemporaries

Location: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Central Park West at 68th St., NYC

Description: EARLY MUSIC NEW YORK [EM/NY] Chamber Orchestra performs 17th-century works of Henry Purcell and his contemporaries, John Blow and Mathew Locke, from England's Restoration period under Charles II. An acoustically superb Beaux-Arts style auditorium, this historic venue is conveniently located in the heart of the Lincoln Square neighborhood.

Program #2: RENAISSANCE CHRISTMAS - Annual Season Tradition (5 performances)

Location: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Central Park West at 68th St., NYC

Description: To celebrate the holidays, Frederick Renz has selected carols, noels and motets emanating from European sacred and secular rituals. Hear and see this special holiday repertoire performed for voices and instruments in the intimate and ambient St. James Chapel nestled within the world's largest Gothic cathedral! These are traditionally sold-out seasonal performances! Order early!

Program #3: MOZART MONIKER - Wolfgang's Counterparts

Location: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Central Park West at 68th St., NYC

Date: Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 7:30 pm
Description: Welcoming spring, Frederick Renz conducts the EM/NY Chamber Orchestra choosing classical works by Mozart's namesakes of other European nations: Samuel Wesley - "the English Mozart," Joseph Martin Kraus - "the Swedish Mozart," Josef Myslivecek - "the Bohemian Mozart," as well as Chevalier de St. Georges - "the Black Mozart."

Program #4: BACH BROTHERHOOD - Johann Sebastian's Peers

Location: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Central Park West at 68th St., NYC

Date: Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 7:30 pm

Description: EM/NY's Baroque Chamber Orchestra performs works by Johann Sebastian Bach's celebrated counterparts: Georg Friedrich Händel, Georg Philipp Telemann, Johann Friedrich Fasch and Johann Caspar Ferdinand Fischer in ouvertures and concerti grossi for this high baroque, Tafelmusik feast.
